Explanation:

The rule of the density of an object is d = M ÷ V, where

  • M is the mass of the object
  • V is the volume of the object

∵ A bottle is filled with 635 g of olive oil

M = 635 g

∵ The olive oil has a density of 0.96 g/cm³

d = 0.96 g/cm³

→ Substitute them in the rule above

∵ 0.96 = 653 ÷ V

→ Multiply both sides by V

∴ 0.96 V = 635

→ Divide both sides by 0.96

V = 661.4583 cm³

The volume of the olive oil is 661.4583 cm³
