One argument that Conrad of Megenberg makes regarding the Jewish people and the spread of disease is that it’s not their fault. The Jewish people were not the cause of the pandemic outbreak. One way in which the disease referred to in the passage influenced the development of urban areas in the period 1350 -1450 is when he said “This also seems doubtful, because after the wells full of polluted water had been purified, the people still died in great numbers.” This shows a development of urban areas because wells that were full of polluted water were purified.
