Your phone has 23 1/4% battery left. You have an important call to make 4 hours from now. How much battery can you use each hour, to ensure you have at least 10% battery remaining for your phone call?

Answer:

4 5/12 %

4.41667 %

Dividend = 13 1/4 %

Divisor = 3 hours

Quotient = 4 5/12 %

Explanation:

Given that :

Percentage charge left = 23 1/4%

Percentage to be used hourly such that atleast 10% is left in other to make a call 4 hours from now

Hence,

Usable charge = Percentage left - target percentage

23 1/4 % - 10% = 13 1/4 %

Number hours of usable charge = 4 - 1= 3 hours

13 1/4 % ÷ 3

53/4 % ÷ 3

4.41666 % per hour

Or

53/4 * 1/3 = 53/12 =4 5/12 %

Dividend = 13 1/4 %

Divisor = 3 hours

Quotient = 4 5/12 %
