x = 9, NM = 41

Explanation:

Since KL = ML then the triangle is isosceles and LN is a perpendicular bisector, thus

NM = NK , substitute values

7x - 22 = 3x + 14 ( subtract 3x from both sides )

4x - 22 = 14 ( add 22 to both sides )

4x = 36 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 9

Thus

NM = 7x - 22 = 7(9) - 22 = 63 - 22 = 41
