8 times the difference between a number and 6 is equal to 4 times the number.

Answer:

it's either A (12) or B(4) but I think it's 12

Explanation:

if we make it into an equation, we get

8(x-6)=4x

8x-48=4x

-48=-4x

-12=-x

x=12

the reason why it might be 4 as well is if we switch the order

8(6-x)=4x

48-8x=4x

48=12x

x=4

So both of those could be correct, but I'm thinking that because they said between a number and 6, then x goes first, so therefore, I think it is 12
