We already know that the slope is negative because the line is pointed this way \ pointed up to the left.

You have to do rise/run to find the slope.

The rise is 6 and the run is 6

6/6 = 1 since the line is negative the slope is -1x or -x

The y intercept is -6

Use the point (-2, -4)

Plug in

-4 = -(-2) + b

-4 = 2 + b (subtract 2 on both sides)

-6 = b

y = -x - 6
