4x−14=−y equation 1

3x−y=0 equation 2

Multiply equ 1 with -1

14-4x=y

Subsitute equ 1 in 2

3x-(14-4x)=0

3x-14+4x =0

7x-14=0

7x=14

X=2

3x-y=0

3(2)-y=0

6-y=0

Y=6
