1. Find the median of the following data :
1) 3,1,5,6,3,4,5
2) 3,1,5,6,3,4,5,6

you have to put all the numbers from least to greatest then scratch off one from each side and do that until you get 1 number left wich should be 4

Answer:

a ) The first step - arrange them in ascending or descending.

1,3,3,4,5,5,6

then median is to find the middle so -

the middle of this is "4" (there are odd numbers of numbers)

b) the first step- - arrange them in ascending or descending.

1,3,3,4,4,4,6,6

then median is to find the middle so -

here the middle is 4 and 4 ( there are even numbers of numbers)

so you find average -

4+4/2 = 4

these are the answers I guess.
