Part B

The trick is to leave the lemon jelly beans alone. You have 8 grapes. If you add 2 more grape jelly beans you would have 10 jelly beans altogether.

So add 2 grapes Now the ratio is lemon / grape = 1/2 = 5/10

Part C

After the addition of 2 grape Jelly beans (giving 10 grapes) the total is 5 + 10 = 15. So the ratio of lemon / total = 5/15

Part D

There are 10 grape jelly beans. The total is grape / total = 10/15
