Islam becan in the middle east and spread to branching areas through trade with other countries such as Africa. also spread through the columbian exchange where African slaves brought the Islamic religion to the America's.

Islam has both good and bad influences on the world. Good because its a large religion so its more common and known of, gives people an option if they'd believe in Allah. Bad because many believe if you are a Muslim you are automatically bad or a terrorist. Also the conflicts between the Christian faith. I think that's good :)
