Given:

Sarah ate
(1)/(5) of the pizza.

Her friend John ate 20%.

Her friend Jules ate half of the pizza.

To find:

The remaining part of the pizza.

Solution:

We have,

Sarah ate =
(1)/(5) of the pizza.

John ate =
20\% of the pizza.

=
(20)/(100) of the pizza.

=
(1)/(5) of the pizza.

Jules ate =
(1)/(2) of the pizza.

Total part of a pizza they ate =
(1)/(5)+(1)/(5)+(1)/(2)

=
(2+2+5)/(10)

=
(9)/(10) of the pizza.

Now, the remaining pizza is

Remaining pizza = 1 - Total part of a pizza they ate

=
1-(9)/(10) of the pizza.

=
(10-9)/(10) of the pizza.

=
(1)/(10) of the pizza.

Therefore, the remaining pizza is
(1)/(10) of the pizza.
