How do the high middle ages medieval cities compare with cities of today?​

Medieval cities were usually little and crowded. They were narrow and could be up to four stories high. Most of the homes were manufactured from wood, and that they tended to lean over time. Designed on riverbanks or close to monasteries and castles, they ranged from sparsely inhabited to densely inhabited.

But nowadays we got really advanced technologies and we've come with the modern cities, which are highly advanced.
