Parallel episode - A parallel episode is a repeat element or recurring events throughout the course of the story; Take the story " The three little pigs " for example, the wolf goes to the first pigs house and blows it downs, then the wolf goes to the second pigs house and blows it down as well.
Flashback - Flashbacks are ways of presenting prior to the what is currently happening in the story, whether if it was noted or not
Foreshadow - Foreshadowing is when the author hints at something that will happen later in the story
