Is it ok to say to someone "Merry Christmas"? I feel like people get offended because they don't celebrate it or they are another religion or something. Truth is, it's a super big holiday and expression and it's not like I'm telling people to go and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Please give me some advice. Thank you!

I honestly think it’s no harm, they shouldn’t be mad because you didn’t know. I think it’s perfectly okay to say “Merry Christmas”. I, myself is Christian and I really don’t want to be afraid sharing what my religion, ect. Saying Merry Christmas is a harmless, it’s a way to ‘pass it on’ I guess.

Answer:

Yes it is!

Step-by-step explanation:

You can say "Merry Christmas!" to someone and it wont be offensive! IF they say that's not their religion, simply say "Happy Hanukkah!" If they don't celebrate that either, or the day at all, just simply apologize nicely and be on your way. (:

You could also say "Happy Holidays!"

Hope this helps!

And Merry Christmas!!
