Assuming the questions asks to add the equations together:
(i) -3x^2y
3x^2y + (-5x^2y) + (-x^2y)
= 3x^2y - 5x^2y - 1x^2y
= -3x^2y
(ii) 3a + 2b - 4
a + b - 3 + b + 2a - 1
= 3a + 2b - 4
