Answer:

She encourages her readers to stop supporting Southern businesses while lynchings continue.

Step-by-step explanation:

Three friends of Ida B. Wells were lynched in Memphis by the Whites. The three men, Tom Moss, Calvin McDowell and Will Stewart's grocery store started to gain fame and attracted more customers than the Whites. This led to a clash among the the three men and the White store owner. In the fight, these men were arrested because they shot many whites who attacked them and were trying to vandalize their store. In their cell, they were lynched and murdered where no one stood for them and gave them a chance to defend themselves. Ida wrote about this lynching and focused on the pleas and grievances of African Americans.
