Acceleration due to GRAVITY

1 point
25. On Earth, acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 m/s/s. If an object falls on
Earth for 10 seconds, what is its increased velocity. (HINT: delta velocity =
acceleration * time) *
98 m/s
0.2 m/s
19.8 m/s
0 m/s

25. For an object in free fall,
v-v_(0) = at, where
v is the final velocity,
v_(0) is the initial velocity,
a is the acceleration, in this case, acceleration due to gravity and
t is the time elapsed. Since
v - v_(0) = \Delta v,
\Delta v = at,
\Delta v = 9.8 * 10 = 98ms^(-1)

26. Since there is no air resistance in a vacuum, all objects will fall at the same rate. So the answer will be TRUE.

Answer:

See below

Step-by-step explanation:

1)

Given:

Acceleration due to gravity = g = 9.8 m/s

Time = t = 10 s

Required:

Δv = ?

Formula:

Δv = g × t

Solution:

Δv = 9.8 × 10

Δv = 98 m/s

2) True

All objects will fall at the same rate in vacuum because there is no air-resistance it it.

\rule[225]{225}{2}

Hope this helped!
