Answer:

(5,-2)

Explanation:

3x-2y=19

y=x-7

We can solve this in either of 2 ways:

1. Solve mathematically

Use the definition of y (in y=x-7) in the first equation:

3x-2y=19

3x-2(x-7)=19

3x-2x+14 = 19

x = 5

Use this to solve for y:

y=x-7

y=5-7

y = -2

The solution is (5,-2)

2. Graph and find the point of intersection (where the values of x and y are the same for both equations). See the attachment.
