How are the legislative and executive branches of the US government different from each other

Here are some examples of how the different branches work together: The legislative branch makes laws, but the President in the executive branch can veto those laws with a Presidential Veto. The legislative branch makes laws, but the judicial branch can declare those laws unconstitutional.

Every branch of the United States government is different from each other.

Duties of the Legislative Branch:

  • Propose laws (House & Senate)
  • Approve justices to the Supreme Court/Approve Cabinet members (Senate)

Duties of the Executive Branch:

  • Approve/veto laws
  • Appoint Justices/Cabinet members

This is how both of the branches are different from each other.
