“In a much larger sense, the problem…is directly influenced by the duplicity of imperial Britain. For whatever devious reason, the dismantling of the British Empire created divisions and violence due to ethnic and religious differences.” - F. Sionil Jose What does this question imply about the situation in Africa today?

A Conflict did not erupt in former French or Dutch colonies in Africa after they achieved independence.
B The British deliberately provoked Africa’s civil wars to convince people they needed to put the British Empire back together.

C The political units established by the British Empire are responsible for different ethnic and religious groups fighting each other.

D The British Empire was dismantled because of conflicts between members of different ethnic and religious groups in Africa.

Answer: Hi, I just had this question on my test today. I am not 100% sure but I do know that it is not A. B is probably wrong because it does not make sense for the British to want Africa's help by convincing people to put the British Empire back together but I am not sure. C and D are also what I'm left with so, I honestly just did eni, mini, miny, mo and left it at that.

Step-by-step explanation:

When F. Sionil Jose said this quote, he was implying that the situation in Africa today was caused by problems with the British Empire leading it to be dismantled as there were too many issues between different African ethnic and religious groups. I truly hope this helped a little more!
