Difference between the two is 10

x-y = 10

Sum;

x+ y is four times the smallest number

Let the smaller number be y

x+ y = 4y

Subtracting equation ii from i

-2y = 10 -4y

4y-2y = 10

2y = 10

y = 10/2

y = 5

Recall;

x-y = 10

x = 10 + y

x = 10 + 5 = 15
