There are 20 girls in the class.
There are 12 boys in the class.
32/8 = 4
3 x 4 = 12
5 x 4 = 20
12 + 20 = 32

Answer:

12:20

Explanation:

3 : 5 = 3x : 5x = 32

3x + 5x = 8x = 32

x = 32/8 = 4

3x = 3x4 = 12

5x = 5x4 = 20

so there are 12 boys and 20 girls
