  • M is the mass
  • V is the volume

Let us use this rule to solve the question

∵ The volume of the stone is 30 cm³

V = 30 cm³

∵ The mass of the stone is 180 grams

M = 180 g

→ Substitute them in the rule above to find d

∵ d = 180 ÷ 30

∴ d = 6 g/cm³

The density of the stone is 6 g/cm³
