Labels are the things that show what each part of the graph means. See picture I uploaded after reading my explanation.

We first want to find out how (1, 1.5) relates to 3 tbs oil and 2 tbs vinegar

We want to find the same scale factor between the x and ys.

We can see that 1 is half of 2 and 1.5 is half 3 so we can say that,

Vinegar is the x

Oil is the y
