x = 2

y = 8

Explanation:

-x - y = 6

5x - 7y = 66

-x - y = 6

x = -y - 6

5x - 7y = 66

5 ( -y - 6 ) - 7y = 66

-12y - 30 = 66

-12y = 96

y = -8

x = -y - 6

x = 8 - 6

x = 2
