How did the growth of the Roman Republic lead to civil war?

Patricians in the republic had financial problems.
Citizens were angry about being forced to join the military.
Class conflicts and complaints about the republic caused disagreement.
Citizens from newly conquered regions did not want to be part of the republic.

Answer:

Rom was able to gain its empire in large part by extending some form of citizenship to many of the people it conquered. Military expansion drove economic development, bringing enslaved people and loot back to Rome, which in turn transformed the city of Rome and Roman culture
