Answer:

When two numbers in an equation have the same variable and or charge, then you use the commutative property to put them next to each other.

Explanation:

Example:

4x + 2 + 3x - 1 <--- Here is the original equation.

4x + 3x + 2 - 1 <---Use the commutative property to add the like terms

together. 3x and 4x end in the same variable. 2 and 1 both

have no variable. Therefore both of the groups are like

terms.

7x + 1 <--- Add/subtract the live terms together.

8x <--- Here is your answer.

Hope this helps! :D

okay say you have 3x+6+7x+3 so you combine the 3x and 7x because they are both with the variable x (you can have different variables and still combine them) and you combine the 6 and the 3 because they are both constant terms or regular numbers so your answer will be 11x+9

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!! IF YOU STILL DONT UNDERSTAND PLS LET ME KNOW
