It means that they were disgruntled and continued to get aggravated the longer parliment kept the stamp act.

They wanted it repealed along with many other taxes as they were paying their government unnecessary amounts. If you were having money taken away from you for no reason, how would you feel? I would want it to stop just like the colonists did.
