the radius of a cone is 15,the slant height is 12

calculate the height

h = √(s2 - r2)

H=√[12^2-15^2]

H=√ (144-225)

H=√-81

the square root of -81 is not considered as a number

hence,

the - is removed

= √81

=9

Answer:

9

Explanation:

To find the height of a right angular cone, the formula is:
\sqrt{l^(2) - r^(2)}

Height =
\sqrt{15^(2) - 12^(2)}

=
√(225 - 144)

=
√(81)

= 9
