Read the passage.

Orchids are wonderful flowers for a beginner to raise. They do not need a lot of water or light. They come in all kinds of bright colors and are perfectly fine in a dim room. There are over 25,000 species of orchids to choose from, and there are videos and books about how to take care of each species. Orchids are easy to find in gardening stores because they are so popular.

Which statement best challenges the author’s claim with contrasting evidence?

A.) When buying an orchid, it is important to pick the right species.
B.) Orchids may look beautiful, but they are very difficult to care for.
C.) Orchid roots will develop fungus and rot if they are watered too often.
D.) Morning glories and sunflowers are much easier to raise than orchids.
Have a great evening!!

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

It is the only one that fits as a doesn't really fit and presents no evidence, b is wrong because it says that they are easy to look after and has no evidence and c is wrong because it said it doesn't need to be watered often. I'm really sorry if I'm wrong though!
