First of all move the -18 to the other side, remember to change the sign.
2x/7 = -6 + 18
So
2x/7 = 12
Now all you need to do is multiply both sides for 7/2 so you can obtain the x.
2x/7 * (7/2) = 12 * (7/2)
Simplify 12 and 2
x = 6 * 7
So
x = 42
