m<9 = 40°

m<3 = 62°

m<2 = 34° + 40° (exterior angle theorem of a triangle)

m<2 = 74°

m<3 + m<4 + m<2 = 180° (sum of ∆)

62° + m<4 + 74° = 180° (substitution)

m<4 + 136° = 180°

m<4 = 180 - 136 (substitution property of equality)

m<4 = 44°
