This is quite an interesting question, should inmates have to pay for their rehabilitation services? I pondered this question for a while and I think that they should have to pay for a portion of this option. If these inmates really want to change for the better and have some use in society then they would be willing to pay a portion of these services. I believe that therapy should be paid for by the state. Therapy is a useful and I think effective tool that we have at our disposal, this is the only service I think that should be cost effective to inmates because of the benefit it provides to them by simply talking with someone with morals and guidance. I do not believe that education rehabilitation should be free, those who are not in prison have to pay the same so why should they, I think that the state should help support in some ways however primarily I think that the prisoners should pay for their education and training into jobs for when they are released.

I believe that basic high school education and substance abuse classes should be made available and free to inmates just like they are free to regular citizens out of prison. On top of that, the government benefits from increasing the literary rate of the state and having less drug addicts on the streets. On the other hand, I believe that if the education is of a higher standing such as specific courses like IT or Mechanics then they should have to pay for those just like regular citizens have to pay.
