remember that the formula for the slope of a line is


m=(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1) )

where m is the slope, and the x and y variables are the x-y coordinates of two points. Choose two points on the line:

Point 1 : (-1,3) and Point 2 : (1,4)

Plug in your values:


m=(4-3)/(1-(-1))


m=(1)/(2) \\

So the slope of this line is 1/2 !
