ANSWER: measurement of angle 1 is 24° and of angle 2 is 33°
Work:
Angle 4 is 57° so angle 3 will be 123° and because angle 3 is in the same triangle as angles 1 and 2 you will subtract 123 from 180 (because the angles of a triangle add up to 180) which will equal 57°. So we know that angles 1 and 2 added together will equal 57° but we have to find x so you will combine angles 1 and 2 to find x which is: (4x-8)+(7x-23)=57
4x-8+7x=80
4x+7x=88
11x=88
88/11=8
So x=8. Now that we found x we insert it into the equations to find the degrees of each angle.
Angle 1: 4(8)-8=24°
Angle 2: 7(8)-23=33°
