Next, use the slope formula:

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) It doesn't matter which points you want to choose as x2 and x1, just make sure that you're consistent!

m = (5 - 7)/(-2 -(-3))

m = 2/5

To find your y-int, just follow the pattern of the table so you can find what y is when x is 1.

When x is -1, y is 3

When x is 1, y is -1

The y value is going up (technically) by 2 for every x value.

Therefore, when x is 0, y is 1

So the y-int is 1
