Answer: 7

Explanation:

As tangents drawn from a common external point to a circle are congruent,

8x - 7 = 6x + 7
2x - 7 = 7 [subtract 2x from both sides]
2x = 14 [add 7 to both sides]
x = 7 [divide both sides by 2]
