Amy began with $28 in her bank account and spent $2 each day. The line models the amount of money in her bank account. She incorrectly wrote an equation for the line in slope-intercept form as y=−2x+14. What is the correct equation for the line in slope-intercept form? What mistake might Amy have made?

The equation is 28=2(14) or y=2x or y=mx

Answer:

y = -2x + 28

Explanation:

In the graph, where the line intercepts the y axis is at 28.

Amy could've gotten this incorrect because she could've assumed the y-int to actually be the x-int, which is 14.

Because of this, she got the equation of her line incorrect.
