First check attached image

By Pythagoras theorem,

ac^(2) = {bc^(2) + ab^(2) }

→13^(2) = {x^(2) + 12^(2) }

→13^(2) = {x^(2) + 144}

→169 = x^(2) + 144

→169 - 144 = x^(2)

→25 = x^(2)

→ √(25) = x

→5 = x

Therefore, value of x is 5

x = 5.

Pythagorus Theorem:
c^2 = b^2 + a^2
(13)^2 = (12)^2 + a^2
a = sqrt((13)^2 - (12)^2))
a = 5
