What are the solutions to the quadratic equation below in factored form?

(2x - 1)(3x + 4) = 0
Ox= 1/12, X
Ox=
1
21
X =
34
0x = -1/², x=-1
Ox= = 1/², x = -1/3

  • (2x-13)(3x+4)=0

So

  • 2x-13=0
  • 2x=13
  • x=13/2

And

  • 3x+4=0
  • 3x=-4
  • x=-4/3

Answer:

x =
(1)/(2) , x = -
(4)/(3)

Explanation:

(2x - 1)(3x + 4) = 0

equate each factor to zero and solve for x

2x - 1 = 0 ( add 1 to both sides )

2x = 1 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x =
(1)/(2)

and

3x + 4 = 0 ( subtract 4 from both sides )

3x = - 4 ( divide both sides by 3 )

x = -
(4)/(3)
