Answer:

11/24

Explanation:

Just add 1/3 and 1/8 to get the answer. To add or subtract any pair of fractions they must have the same denominator. To change them, find the least common multiple of the two denominators (3 and 8). The least common multiple of 3 and 8 is 24. Now multiply the denominator by a number that’ll make it into the least common multiple. The 3 in 1/3 should be multiplied by 8 to make it into 24. The 8 in 1/8 should be multiplied by 3 to make into 24. The number that you use to multiply each denominator should also be used to multiply the numerator of that fraction. 1/3 for example, becomes 8/24. 1/8 becomes 3/24. Finally add the numerators of both numbers and keep the same denominator which equals 11/24.
