A figure has the following vertices: A(0,4), B(3,8), and C(4,0). What are the vertices of the figure after a reflection across the x-axis?​

Answer:

A -> (0,-4)

B -> (3, -8)

C -> (4, 0)

Explanation:

Hiya! When it came to this, the goal of shifting a figure across the x-axis is to get it flipped across the horizontal line. By doing this, which I may potentially be incorrect on, I assumed that you would have to take the negatives of the y values in order to make that shift downwards. I left the x-values be, as I believe they remain stable when you're only doing a reflection across the x-axis. C also remained the same, as a negative of a zero is still a zero. If you would like to see this change graphed out, I would recommend plugging the coordinates into Desmos to see the shapes. I hope this at least helped a little!
