Answer:

x = 2

Explanation:

2(x - 1/2) = 3(5 - 2x) (distribute 2 and 3)

2x - 1 = 15 - 6x (add 6x on both sides)

8x - 1 = 15 (add 1 on both sides)

8x = 16 (divide both sides by 8)

x = 2

CHECK

2(2 - 1/2) = 3(5 - 2(2)) (solve what's in parenthesis)

2(1.5) = 3(1) (distribute)

3 = 3
