Solve for x: x - 1 = 4x + x - 8 + 3x

Answer:

x-1= 4x +x -8 +3x (combine like terms on the right side)

x-1= 8x -8 (subtract 8x from both sides, and the same time add 1 to both sides

-7x= -7 (divide by -7 on both sides)

x=1
