1) y=1/2x+4 and y=-2x-4

2) y-9 = -2(x+7)

Explanation:

1) Perpendicular lines must have reciprocal slopes. So, the sign must be switched and the numerator and denominator must be switched.

2) Point-slope form is
y-y_(1) = m(x-x_(1))

So plug the slope and point in.

y - 9 = -2 (x - (-7))

y-9=-2(x+7)
