I think that it is l-2l + l9l. First off, an absolute value is the distance between a number and zero.

An absolute value is always positive. For example, l4l = 4 because it is always positive.

Opposites are numbers that are the same distance from zero in opposite directions. For example, -4 = 4.

On this case, the absolute value of (-2,3) is l-2l because in the coordinate graph, it is on Quadrant 2. What you need from the graph is the x-axis which is -2. So you get, I-2I

And, the absolute value of (9,3) is I9I because in the coordinate graph, it is on Quadrant 1. Again, What you need from the graph is the x-axis, which is 9. So you get, I9I.

And if you are finding the distance between the two points, you need to add. So, there you have it, I-2I + I9I. Hopefully, it's right. :)
