The French and Indian war was a conflict that took place mostly in North America from the years 1754-1763. The war was caused by two main reasons. 1. Whether the upper Ohio River valley was a part of the British Empire or the French Empire. 2. Which national culture was to dominate the heart of North America.

Belligerents:

One side saw the alliances of
Great Britain
British American Colonies
Iroquois Confederacy
Wyandot
Catawba
Cherokee (before 1758
Mingo ( briefly )

The other side saw alliances between
Kingdom of France
New France ( French American Colonies )
Abenaki
Mi’kmaw militia
Algonquin
Lenape
Ojibwa
Ottawa
Shawnee
Wyandot of fort detroit

The first four years saw nothing but French success due to the experience of the French troops stationed in America as well as the knowledge of the land due to Native American help. During those years of defeat, the British and colonial forces captured the fort of Beausejour in 1755.

Eventually, the British soon turned the tide and won the war. Many reasons caused the French defeat but the most notable are as follows:
- Great Britains industrial and Financial situation was greater than Frances.
- The French were on the verge of bankruptcy
-British Forces had great quantities of provisions whereas the Forces in French Canada faced famine all the time.
-The British and British colonies soon became seasoned wilderness fighters out competing the French.
- The British Navy was far more Dominate and Dangerous cutting off French supplies to America.

The treaty of paris took place on February 10, 1763. France ceded Canada and all claims east of the Mississippi.

Shorten or expand this info as much as you like, hope it helped!!! If anyone sees this i have a math question that i need help solving.

Answer:

The French and Indian War was the North American conflict in a larger imperial war between Great Britain and France known as the Seven Years’ War. The French and Indian War began in 1754 and ended with the Treaty of Paris in 1763. The war provided Great Britain enormous territorial gains in North America, but disputes over subsequent frontier policy and paying the war’s expenses led to colonial discontent, and ultimately to the American Revolution.

hope it helps!
