the expression 3/ (1/4) can be solved by rewriting it to be

3 * (4/1)

this is the equivalent of 3*4 and that equals 12.

each box is one granola bar and each piece inside the box is a piece of granola bar

the correct visualization is the third option because it has 12 pieces, but there are 3 boxes (connie has 3 granola bars, each box equals one granola bar) which makes it correct and makes the first option i correct (because it has 4 boxes and connie only has 3 granola bars)
