Solution:

We know that, in a right angled triangle,


\sin \theta =(Perpendicular)/(Hypotenuse)


\sin 60^\circ =(x)/(16)


(√(3))/(2) =(x)/(16)

Multiply both sides by 16.


(√(3))/(2)* 16=(x)/(16)* 16


8√(3)=x

And,


\cos \theta =(Base)/(Hypotenuse)


\cos 60^\circ =(y)/(16)


(1)/(2)=(y)/(16)

Multiply both sides by 16.


(16)/(2)=y


8=y

Therefore, the missing side lengths are
x=8√(3) and
y=8.
