Explanation:

All you have to do is plug the X given into the equation provided to find Y, y=x^2-3.

For the first row, you're given -3 for X, so you plug that into the equation.

y=(-3)^2-3 So, -3^2 is just (-3) times (-3) which equals 9. Then you subtract 3 from 9 which gives you 6. So your Y=6 for the first row. And, you do the same thing for the rest of the rows. Just plug X in and solve. Anything raised to the second power is just that number multiplied by itself like I did with the -3.
